More about me
My story
I was drawn to yoga while I was in the midst of writing my Master’s thesis and dealing with the stress of grad school. After graduation, a friend recommended that I take a yoga class with her favorite teacher Jacqui Rowley at YogaTree. I started going regularly and experienced the benefits of yoga first hand.
As someone who has dealt with anxiety and depression on and off since high school, I recognized how yoga can not only work the body but also calm the mind. I started exploring classes with other teachers at YogaTree and eventually attended my first yoga retreat in Costa Rica. It was such a beautiful experience and container for me to return back to myself. Since then I’ve attended various yoga retreats around the world.
I decided to take a 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 and the experience made my heart burst open. Never before had I experienced being in such a loving community and container. After years of feeling like I never fit in, I finally felt seen, loved, and accepted in all of my flaws and imperfections. I thought to myself, if only everyone else could experience this feeling, then what a different place the world would be.
With Wholistic T, my goal is to create a space where people can come for support, to feel seen, to get in touch with themselves, and to learn about different tools that can support them in their healing and growth. I want to share the knowledge that I’ve gained through my studies and experiences. I want to help make the world and kinder and more compassionate place.
